More discussion going on today in the legislature about the effect of state budget cuts on our state and especially on education. Keep in mind that the universities already got hit hard last year.
Meanwhile, the 2010 U.S. News rankings of Law Schools came out.
The University of Arizona law school dropped eight spots from last year, from #35 to #43. ASU fell three spots, to #55.
Just another raindrop in the storm.

They are continuing to lower the bar in most states with regards to education...and just about everything else.
The Missouri House wants to take almost all that's not already beem spent from our federal stimulus and use it on..ta da...a tax cut of about $50 or so for every citizen and the rest going to..ta da...a lowering of state corporate taxes.
We hardly have any corporations left employing large numbers in the state.
The good news is that the new Democratic Governor and the Republican Senate leadership have become so alarmed with the deteriorating conditions at state universities that they are working together to derail this train wreck before it happens.
Without top notch graduates what foreign or American venture capitalist would bother even thinking about investing in changing the fortunes of the state?
Missouri is also the latest state to propose making intelligent design part of a public school education.
When did we lose our way?
