God will cause mass killings in America, says preacher Pat.

It's been a few months since the last time I had to report on Pat Robertson saying something stupid, so he was about due.

There will be mass killings in the U.S. in 2007, says preacher Pat.

He predicts a terrorist attack that will cause 'mass killings' in the U.S.

Now, that wouldn' bother me, except he is citing God as the source.

Of course, God never makes a mistake, so if Preacher Pat is right, then it is a certainty that it will happen.

He also has maybe a ten percent chance of being right anyway. From the first world trade center bombing until 9/11 was eight years. It has now been six years since 9/11, so just on the law of averages we are getting close to 'due,' (though hopefully all of that money we spent trying to terrorist-proof the country did extend this time frame.)

Consider what this entails. If it happens in 2007 (and there is about a ten percent chance it will just based on the law of averages) then Pat will claim it proves he really is getting revelation from the Lord. Well, even a broken clock is right twice a day. But if he is wrong, he will seize on something to claim he wasn't wrong-- for exmaple, last year he predicted a tsunami and massive seismic descruction would hit the U.S. Didn't happen, so he is now claiming that this years 'noreaster' was fulfillment.

Yeah.
