You may not like that, but at least Democrats have the clearer agenda on items like that.Eli Blakehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00792743206074537073noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14231145.post-36520793696529626832010-03-09T13:48:23.254-08:002010-03-09T13:48:23.254-08:00The Republicans have nothing. The Republicans have nothing.shrimplatehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08347542266047278227noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14231145.post-20255194964650254912010-03-08T09:47:12.116-08:002010-03-08T09:47:12.116-08:00How is that any different than what the democrats ...How is that any different than what the democrats do? They too use fear, access and ego to attract the major donors. The only real difference is the bogeyman each party invokes for the fear factor.

Unfortunately, I think the democrats are playing into the hands of the republicans. By exercising such extreme partisanship, they are playing into the fears the republicans are using.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14231145.post-36344712731895208232010-03-06T14:24:40.087-08:002010-03-06T14:24:40.087-08:00In other words, they will use the same strategy th...In other words, they will use the same strategy they have used since Reagan. However, they are talking to a smaller and smaller pool of voters who would respond to that strategy.

Those under 40, minorities, women, and the growing number of underemployed middle class are already scared...of Republicans and their failed conservatives policies.

Once the Democratic Party allows the Blue Dogs to be pruned off, it will look even more appealing to this group. There is a new coalition that has been formed and it can only grow in the future as these people become the main voting block.

The face of the Republican Party has become ugly, old, greedy, lying, and most of all...dumb. Hard times call for new ideas and stable candidates who are cool under pressure.

Look at the new and old leadership in the GOP. Could any of them qualify as such a candidate? Their most serious candidate, Romney has flipped so often on issues that he has no credibility plus he's a Mormon which will not play with their Christian Right base.

Besides, the Republican Party hasn't even tried to re-invent itself. It's been reduced to employing cocky gimmicks and spouting old cliques regarding the economic and social pressures facing Mainstream America.

They still haven't admitted that times have changed. All they want to do is hold onto something that they destroyed. Young families and Baby Boomers facing a tough future have had enough of the grandstanding and obstructionism.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11437034481400807566noreply@blogger.com
